BOZEMAN, Mont. – A Bozeman man is behind bars for alleged drunken driving on the interstate earlier this week.
Detectives say during the arrest, the man fell asleep on a Gallatin County Sheriff’s deputy’s patrol car.
According to court documents, Jeffrey Pedersen, 32, was driving on Interstate 90 near mile marker 298 in Belgrade when detectives saw him weaving in and out of traffic.
When they stopped Pedersen, deputies say Pedersen refused to do any testing and fell asleep on the patrol car’s hood.
Court documents show that this is Pedersen’s third drunken driving arrest. He was convicted of DUIs twice within the last 16 years.
