BILLINGS – Bikes and kids have been an important tradition for the Billings Kiwanis.

The club gave bikes to kids at its 21st annual Bike Rodeo at Castle Rock Park on Saturday.

The event was originally scheduled for May 18, but rain postponed the rodeo to June 1.

The Kiwanis took care of about 80 children with the help of other volunteers.

The members say it’s been an enjoyable tradition for the Kiwanis.

“We had a club member 21 years ago, had the idea,” said Bill Clagg, Kiwanis member and organizer of the rodeo. “It took two years to get it instrumented with volunteers and so forth and it’s been non-stop since. we’re hoping not only to give them stronger health but a means of getting to activities.

The Kiwanis Club holds the bike rodeo at a different park each year…

Next year it will be at Rose Park.
