BILLINGS – Athletes are often seen as role models, and not just on the court.
An example is Marissa Van Atta, a Rocky Mountain College athlete diagnosed with leukemia on Sept. 22, 2017.
She went to Denver for treatment immediately after hearing the news, returned home and after her final treatment in March of 2018, the biopsy and Pathology came back completely clear. She was cancer free.
This year she’ll tell her story of perseverance at the Montana Women’s Run dinner on Friday.
Watch her interview above before the Kids Run kickoff.
