Another round of storms is building in our area today as we are still under the same unsettled northwesterly flow pattern that has been triggering storms over the last couple of days,
A repeat of yesterday’s heavy hail event seems less likely as there is less moisture in the atmosphere today, but it can’t be ruled out.
Tonight’s storms will likely be defined more by blustery winds.
This pattern starts to push out of the area tonight and into tomorrow as a ridge builds back into the are, bringing sunshine and more stable conditions. Sunday could still some some scattered storms as the system pushes out of the region to the southeast. High temperatures Sunday likely in the low 80s.
Temperatures will start to build over the course of the week, getting back into the low 90s by mid week.
Ears and eyes to the sky this evening, I’m targeting the 5-8 p.m. window for storm activity here in Billings.
