JORDAN – A Helena man was killed in a crash Monday evening near Jordan.
Colby Hurt, 28, was taken to a Garfield County hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Sheriff Clay Lammers said it appeared Hurt fell asleep at the wheel while driving at a high rate of speed. Montana Highway Patrol said Hurt, driving a Pontiac Vibe, when the car slid off the road and rolled into a ditch.
Lammers said Hurt was not wearing a seatbelt.
There were no signs of drug or alcohol use and no one else was in the vehicle.
