Kelsey Boggs

KTVQ

Multimedia Journalist

It's been a lifelong dream of mine to work in media, and thanks to Q2 that dream is coming true.

I grew up in Happy Valley, Oregon, and in 6th grade, myself and my classmates were assigned jobs to study for two weeks before heading out on a field trip. I was assigned a news anchor position with my friend, Alex, as my co-anchor.

After two long weeks of studying, our class was bussed out to a warehouse. But it wasn’t your average warehouse, it had been converted into a miniature town featuring shops, restaurants, and even a City Hall.

Our class spent all day working our jobs and earning paychecks to spend in our friend’s shops. Our newscast was even broadcasted to all the shops so our friends could watch! I had so much fun and knew I was meant to work in this field.

Kelsey and Alex

Fast forward a few years: I moved to Corvallis in 2017 to earn a college degree. I graduated from Oregon State University (Go Beavers!) in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication. My husband, Keagan, and I moved to Montana in December of 2021 after we built our first home. I was lucky enough to be hired on at Q2 as a multimedia journalist in August of 2022.

So, why Billings? Keagan is an avid bird hunter, and Billings just so happens to be in the flight path of the birds he likes to hunt. It worked out great for me too, as I love to spend my free time snowboarding, skiing, and fishing as well as any activity I can do with my 2 dogs, Nova and Goose.

I have always had a passion for researching and writing, and am thrilled to have a job that allows me to do what I love and be creative. If you have a story you would like to share, send it to me at kelsey.boggs@ktvq.com or reach out to me on social media. I’m so happy to be here!
