BILLINGS – Soggy Easter Sunday departs, mild Monday arrives.
Rain showers and even some wet snow fell across much of southern Montana Saturday night and Easter Sunday. Although there were no significant amounts of snowfall in the area foothills, rainfall was impressive in some places.
Nearly 2 inches of rain fell south of Livingston. Just under half an inch fell at Red Lodge. The Billings area picked up roughly 2 tenths of an inch of rainfall.
The current weather system will continue to diminish and migrate south with warmer, dryer air moving in for Monday and Tuesday.
Expect another batch of mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms to develop Wednesday through Friday.
