My name is Matthew Hidalgo and I am the weekend Meteorologist/MMJ here at Q2.
I was born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania and became a weather fanatic at a very young age. Not only am I a weather enthusiast but I am also a big sports fan. I grew up playing almost every sport in the book, but my favorites are ice hockey and tennis.
I played both sports throughout high school and decided to further my athletic career playing tennis in college. I attended Millersville University for all four years playing tennis and studying Meteorology with a concentration in Broadcasting. I graduated in May 2021 and was recently hired to work at KTVQ on July 1.
I came to Montana to begin my career and fulfill a dream of mine, being a Broadcast Meteorologist. I have never traveled west of the Mississippi River and though I have only been here for a couple weeks, Montana certainly lives up to all of the hype. It is incredibly beautiful here.
Weather has been a passion of mine for many years now and I would like to share that with others, helping people to plan out their day, whether it be for work or recreation. Weather, like everything, has a story and I like being the one to tell it.
I feel tremendously fortunate calling Billings my new home.
