MISSOULA - Two people have been arrested for a shooting at a Missoula convenience store earlier this week.

Missoula Police Department spokesman Sgt. Travis Welsh said Ivory Brien, 19, and Chase Munson, 18 have been arrested.

Munson is a University of Montana student, and Brien is also being referred to the Dean of Students for action.

Two men were shot early Tuesday morning at the South Avenue Market at the intersection of Higgins and South avenues.

Welsh said university police received information related to the shooting and passed it to the Missoula Police Department. Search warrants were then served on Wednesday evening at the Miller Residence Hall on the university campus.

The investigation continues, but there is no public safety threat to the community or to university students or staff, according to Welsh.
