Q2 News, Montana’s number one TV station, is looking for one of our next great news leaders. This is a rare opportunity for the right person as this year we will salute a retiring news anchor. We’re looking for someone ready to move into the anchor chair for our weekday evening newscasts.
Yes, we need someone with a solid journalism background with experience anchoring and reporting. But we also are looking for someone ready to take on a leadership role in the community, the station, and the newsroom.
Q2 is part of the seven station Montana Television Network and Cordillera Communications with TV stations across the country. Our company is committed to providing a good workplace with great benefits. Q2 has been a dominant number one station in TV News for decades. We have a commitment to win on all platforms including online, mobile and social media interaction.
Q2 is in Billings, Montana, the state’s largest city. We offer a good place to work and play with easy access to four seasons of recreation. Outside Magazine named Billings the Best Town in America in 2016. You can look here: https://www.outsideonline.com/2107026/why-billings-montana-best-town-2016
You will co-anchor our 2 evening newscasts. That includes writing copy, making calls to update stories, and helping shape our coverage plan. We need someone able to deliver unscripted, breaking news and conduct long form newsmaker interviews. You will work on special projects and special reports in studio and from the field.
If you’re ready to take on a leadership role at a great Rocky Mountain TV station we want to hear from you.
