MONTANA SUNRISE FROM MONTI WETSCH MONTANA SUNRISE FROM MONTI WETSCH

Warming for the weekend, but another chance of snow before a chilly Monday.

Temperatures will move back average or above January averages for Saturday and Sunday.  Expect highs in the upper 20s to upper 30s.  Lows will be in the teens to mid-20s.

Areas around Livingston will likely be the warmest, with a chance to break into the low 40s on Sunday.  But expect up to  50 mph wind gusts down the mountains as well.

Saturday starts with a slight chance of showers and dries out.  Sunday starts dry, but with an increasing chance of rain/snow by the afternoon, and snow showers with some accumulation possible by Sunday evening.

Monday, expect clearing but cold with the lowest temperatures of the week.  Highs will be mainly in the low teens and we could dip below zero by early Tuesday.

Billings forecast:

Saturday: A slight chance of snow before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 36. Westerly wind 10 to 20 mph.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 24. Westerly wind 5 to 15 mph.

Sunday: A chance of rain and snow by afternoon. Increasing clouds, with a high near 38. Chance of precipitation is around 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible, but a better chance of snow by evening.
