Q2 Weather: Wind everywhere, and snow in eastern Montana

Widespread wind for Tuesday, with areas of snow and blowing snow east of Billings.

Strong wind gusts will be widespread today. Dangerous cross winds with gusts of 50+ mph will blow from around Harlowton to Livingston.

US 191 from Big Timber to Judith Gap could experience strong gusty winds. Travel hazards are possible especially for high profile vehicles.

A combination of wind and snow will cause visibility concerns and slick roadways in the easternmost counties of Montana extending into North Dakota. Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for those areas.

Otherwise, temperatures will be moderate with readings in the 30s to around 40 degrees today and again tomorrow.

Expect a mix of clouds and sunshine around the Billings area with wind gusts possible to 40 mph.

Conditions remain breezy Tuesday night and again Wednesday, with temperatures returning mainly to the 40s.

Temperatures will warm, with a good chance of hitting mid to lower 50s around Billings on Thursday and Friday.

Tuesday… Partly sunny, with a high of about 40. West winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph.

Tuesday night… Partly cloudy with a low around 28. West wind 15 to 25 miles an hour.

Wednesday… Mostly sunny with a high near 40. West wind 15 – 25 mph.
