Montana attorney general announces campaign to fight child sex trafficking

Posted: Updated:

HELENA - Montana Attorney General Tim Fox announced this week his office is partnering in a public-awareness campaign aimed at stopping child sex trafficking.

The PSA, called "Unmasked," targets the customers of child-sex trafficking and highlights the fact they are not anonymous. Other states participating in the campaign, called Demand and End, include Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Nebraska, New Mexico and South Carolina.

According to Fox's office, the number of juvenile human trafficking victims rescued in Montana between 2015 and 2016 increased by 400 percent.

Fox is partnering with Street Grace, a Georgia nonprofit, and the Montana Broadcasters Association.
