Q2 Weather: Temperatures warmest Wednesday, dropping through Saturday

Posted: Updated:

Warm, dry, and breezy conditions for Wednesday. Cooler and more unsettled weather is moving in right behind.

High-pressure over the area today will bring sunshine and push highs up into the 60s with low 70 degree readings possible from Billings to the east. Winds will be gusty at times, especially in the mountain foothills.

A Pacific cold front will move to the area this evening and overnight, shifting winds more northwesterly. Wind gusts could hit to around 30 mph as the front moves through.

Temperatures will drop into the 50s for Thursday, with a few scattered showers. As readings continue to slip, highs will be in the 40s to low 50s by Saturday.

A bit of a warming trend will follow into early next week.

Billings forecast:

Wednesday… Mostly sunny, with a high near 69. Southwest wind 10 to 20 mph.

Wednesday night… Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of overnight showers. A low of about 39.

Thursday… A slight chance of morning showers, otherwise becoming mostly sunny. Cooler, with a high around 56.
