Great Falls stabbing suspect has been arrested

GREAT FALLS - A Great Falls man has been taken into custody in connection with a stabbing that happened downtown.

Just before 4 p.m. on Friday, police officers took Philip Prindle, also known as Philip Craigie, into custody at or near a residence in the Rivershore Mobile Home Park. The park is located at 3308 Lower River Road.

Police said that he had been seeing entering and leaving the residence, but they are uncertain if he lives there.

Police say they found Prindle based on a tip from a community member.

On Sept. 25, at about 1 p.m., a man who lives in the downtown Park Manor facility was stabbed in the alley behind the building.

When the victim went out the the rear of the building, according to Great Falls police, he was confronted by a man wearing a navy blue sweatshirt, maroon sweatpants, white sneakers, red ball cap, and sunglasses.

The suspect then reportedly left the scene on a bicycle heading east.

Authorities have not provided an update on the condition of the man who was stabbed, but we have been told that the injuries were not life-threatening.

(SEPTEMBER 25, 2017) Police are investigating a stabbing in downtown Great Falls. It happened just after 1 p.m. on Monday.

The incident involved two men, according to police. The suspect ran away and remains at large. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment; the nature and severity of his injuries has not been disclosed.

Police officers have put up crime-scene tape in the alley and along the west side of the Park Manor building. Officers have placed more than a dozen evidence tags on the ground in the alley and along the sidewalk.

Police do not believe the suspect presents a threat to the general public.
