BILLINGS - A 47-year-old bicyclist was struck and injured by a passing vehicle Wednesday night on Billings West End.

Billings police reported the man was riding east at 9:22 p.m. on the 2000 block of King Avenue West wearing all black on a dark bicycle with no reflectors. He was in the southern-most lane near the curb, police stated.

A 2004 Jeep Cherokee was traveling in the same direction, and the driver told police he did not see the cyclist until it was too late and he struck the man.

The cyclist was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police said the cyclist was also intoxicated and cited for riding a bicycle at night without a rear reflector.
