BILLINGS - A 53-year-old bicyclist suffered minor injuries after he was struck by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon on Billings West End.

The Billings man was riding his bicycle north on the sidewalk on the west side of South 24th Street West shortly before 2:49 p.m.

Billings police said he had the pedestrian signal to cross King Avenue West.

The driver of the U.S. Postal Service truck attempted to turn right on red and struck the bicyclist.

The bicyclist was transported to the hospital for treatment of his minor injuries, while the 32-year-old driver of the Postal Service truck was cited for failing to yield right-of-way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
