Heart health with family were the focuses of the 38th annual Heart and Sole Run in Billings on Saturday.

It has become a tradition for many the day before Father's Day.

The run includes a 10k, a 5k and a two-mile heart health walk.

All the races finished at Dehler Park where runners could partake in the Active Life Festival.

More than 40 booths were set up at the healthy lifestyle event that featured live music, kids activities, and family fun.

St. Vincent HealthCare is the one of several sponsors of the run and donates some of the proceeds to the Billings Family YMCA.

The idea of Heart and Sole is to promote exercise and family activities.

"The Women's run is right before Mother's Day, and the Heart and Sole is right before Father's Day. That way there's family together. You have more success if mom, dad and little kids are all doing something together. Not only does it build that family bond, but it keeps everybody healthy. We are completely focused on keeping everybody healthy and happy and keeping that heart in good shape," said Robyn Horgdal, Billings Family YMCA marketing and communication coordinator.

According to Competitive Timing's race results, nearly 1,900 people participated in this year's Heart and Sole Run.
