BILLINGS -

The former James F. Battin Federal Courthouse was pronounced Asbestos free on Friday by EEC, the building owners.

The company made the announcement in a post on Facebook that said that all five floors had been cleared and that the Abatement was complete.

EEC said their team of architects, engineers and construction crew would now be able to begin the process of renovating the building, which was renamed the Stillwater Building in February of this year.

The post also said EEC expects to have their first tenant in the building as early as fall 2017.
