They're snapshots you can wrap your hands around, moments in time captured in space.

Happy couples, beloved pets and grandma's with attitude.

All of them have been doobed.

"This is me 360-degrees - it's amazing to me that I can share this with my daughter," says Doob client Heather Stern.

Stern got her first doob when she was 38 weeks pregnant with her daughter, Rosy.

"That's momma, yeah."

Doob is one of a handful of new companies across the country creating 3-d figurines - replicas that come alive down to the wrinkles in your jeans.

"We already broke one and had to replace it so now it's on a higher shelf," Sterns says.

It's become an annual tradition for the family.  On this day, their 2 month old baby, Jhett became part of the package.

It all starts once you step into the dooblicator.  In a split second 54 cameras capture every angle. Then the images are sent to this factory.

They're 3-d printed inside a special powder, a vacuum reveals the figurine, and bursts of air prepare the surface for finishing.

A few weeks later heather unwraps her latest Doob.

"Oh, wow.  Very cool."

Side by side it's like a reflection in a mirror.  Matching details down to the blue bow in Rosy's hair.

"This is a full moment in time 360 degrees of who we are at this moment."

A moment in time she can hold onto forever.
