Red Lodge Mountain wrapped up a successful ski season this past weekend.

Marketing Director Jeff Carroll reports that the resort saw a 12 percent increase in skier visits this year compared to last, with more than 100,000 people hitting the slopes of Red Lodge Mountain.

Carroll says they were able to maintain a decent snowpack throughout the year due to colder temperatures and 172 inches of snowfall.

It actually snowed more last year, mostly late in the year, but the snowpack held better this year.

In fact, Red Lodge had enough late season snow to extend it's ski season an additional two weeks this spring.
