HELENA -

Timothy Haithcox, 52, who was charged with five felonies and one misdemeanor after a violent attack in April 2016, was found guilty of four of those charges on Friday in Helena.

After a five-day trial and five hours of deliberation, the jury delivered a guilty verdict.

Haithcox was found guilty of felony aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault, tampering with a witness, and a misdemeanor assault charge.

The jury found him not guilty on charges of sexual assault and tampering with evidence.

The victim told police she met Haithcox online and invited him to live with her. She said they lived together for about a month and a half.

Charging documents said Haithcox came to the victim’s home after a night of drinking and attacked her on April 12, 2016.

Haithcox allegedly hit the victim, slammed her head into a medicine cabinet, choked her to unconsciousness several times, kicked her repeatedly in the abdomen, and severely damaged her knee, which had recently undergone replacement surgery.

The victim told investigators at one point during the attack she felt she’d never see her children or grandchildren again.
