Wolves in Wyoming were once again taken off the endangered species list after a Federal Appeals court made the ruling Friday.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia ruled Wyoming's wolf management plan should be upheld.

In 2012 the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service de-listed Wyoming's wolves.

Two years later, a federal District judge reinstated federal protections for wolves.

Many of Wyoming's political leaders applaud Friday's ruling.

"This is the right decision for wolves and Wyoming," said Wyoming Gov. Matt Mead.

State officials will notify the public once the 2012 de-listing rule has been officially reinstated.
