It doesn't take much to get into the Christmas spirit.

In an impromptu decision on Monday, a Billings barber paid it forward and provided free haircuts to men staying at the Montana Rescue Mission.

Elias Frank, former Ace of Fades Barbershop owner, stopped by to lift the ears and smiles of MRM residents.

"He just randomly came down and wanted to give everyone haircuts," said Denise Smith of the MRM. "It is just... to watch those guys, they are smiling and joking with each other. They just stand taller. It brings back their dignity."

Frank said he cut the hair of 29 men and said "they were very respectful, happy, and funny."
