Rocky to close spring drills with Saturday scrimmage

New head coach Jason Petrino will lead Rocky Mountain College in to its final spring practice Saturday with a scrimmage at Herb Klindt Field. It's set to begin at 10:30 a.m. and free to the public.

After the scrimmage, Quarterback Club members will provide a barbeque in the east parking/tailgate lot for current club members and for those interested in joining the Quarterback Club.

The Battlin’ Bears report for fall camp August 5 and open their 2016 campaign at Montana State-Northern on August 27.

The “Battle of the Bears” will take place the following weekend (Sept. 3), as Rocky travels to Greeley, Colo., for a date with Division I and Big Sky Conference member Northern Colorado.

“Hall of Fame Weekend” will kick off Friday, Sept. 9, as the Class of 2016 will be inducted to the RMC Clara Klindt Athletic Hall of Fame during the annual Hall of Fame Banquet.  New and current members of the Hall of Fame will be introduced during a special ceremony the next day at halftime of the football game.

Rocky's first showdown on the new artificial turf surface at Herb Klindt Field is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 10, against Carroll College.
