Posted: Updated:

Approximately 215 student-athletes from Rocky Mountain College are scheduled to volunteer for RMC’s “Day of Champions” on Saturday. From 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the student-athletes will participate in various community service activities throughout the Billings area.

“Day of Champions is a great opportunity for our student athletes to give back to a community that is so supportive of our institution and athletic department,” said RMC Director of Athletics Bruce Parker.

“RMC is excited to wrap up another great academic year by giving back to the community,” said RMC’s Community Services Coordinator Jill Washburn. “The college as a whole is committed to being engaged with the Billings area in helping agencies meet the needs of the community.”

Washburn explained that each athletic team will be serving at various organizations around the community. The following locations will benefit from this year’s Day of Champions:

• Habitat for Humanity Mid Yellowstone Valley (build site)

• Friendship House of Christian Service

• Rocky Mountain College (facilities)

• Moss Mansion

• Housing Authority of Billings-Community Gardens

• ZooMontana

• Amend Park Community Gardens

• Family Promise of Yellowstone Valley

• Family Service, Inc.

• Montana Rescue Mission-West End Bargain Center

• Montana Audubon Education Center

“It is so important for our student athletes to learn the value of working with our great community,” Parker added.
