Bobcats' center Blake leaves men's team

Posted: Updated:

Junior center Shy Blake has left the Montana State men’s basketball program, Bobcat coach Brian Fish announced Wednesday.

Blake played in 24 of the team’s 31 games this season, starting 12. The 6-7 center from Wilmington, Del., transferred to MSU for the 2015-16 season and averaged 2.3 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.

“Shy let me know that he wants to continue his career elsewhere and I wish him the best,” Fish said. “I appreciate his contributions this year.”

Fish also acknowledged that Steph Holm’s departure from the program has become permanent. A junior guard from Riverton, Utah, Holm stepped away from the team in late February.
