BILLINGS -

Habitat for Humanity is building its first home in 2015 and helping another family celebrate a big step on the way to home ownership.

Mid-Yellowstone Valley Habitat for Humanity is building its 70th home at 1121 Jordan Circle.

It held its first wall-raising for the second home in the new subdivision in the Heights.

Habitat held the wall raising for the subdivision's first home at MontanaFair.

Volunteers will build 16 homes over the next four years.

"It's a tremendous testimony to the passion and the commitment and the energy that people have for the Habitat mission," said Jim Woolyhand, executive director for Mid-Yellowstone Valley Habitat for Humanity. "It's just an amazing blessing to have land. Thanks to God for all his good work and helping us out because we wouldn't be able to do it without prayer and support and people."

Woolyhand says the plan is to finish this home in March and then start on the 71st home.
