BILLINGS - The weather is cooling and the leaves are changing, so Sunday meant the perfect time for a warm bowl of chowder.

ZooMontana's popular Exxon Mobile Chowder Challenge returned for year two as a dozen culinary professionals were on hand to provide samples of a wide range of chowders.

Everything from "Duck Flathead Cherry" to "Beef and Blue Cheese," the afternoon satisfied even the staunciest tasebuds.

Celebrity judges included Q2's Ed McIntosh, as the panel of three gave this year's honor to the Carbon County Steakhouse's Eric Trager for this year's best chowder.

Hundreds turned out to the event as proceeds fund ZooMontana's events and operating costs. The challenge even gave new chefs from the Passages program to show off their cooking skills.
