Eric Korst is being held on a $75,000 bond after allegedly assaulting a woman in Great Falls in September, causing the woman to lose her eye.
Court documents say that Korst punched the victim repeatedly in the face and didn't let her leave the apartment or seek medical help.
The victim told police that when Korst was punching her, she could feel the cornea in her right eye roll backwards, and blood squirted from her her eye, and she lost vision in that eye.
The victim said that she wasn't able to seek medical attention until the following morning after Korst left for work.
Once she arrived at the hospital, the victim was told she needed immediate surgery and was transported to a Missoula hospital.
Court documents state that a Missoula physician attempted to repair the damaged eye, but due to the extensive damage, the eye had to be surgically removed.
Because she was afraid of Korst's threat to kill her, the victim initially told EMS and medical staff that she had been assaulted in a bar.
Korst is facing charges of felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor unlawful restraint.
