Woman escapes correctional facility in Billings

BILLINGS - The Montana Department of Corrections (DOC)is looking for a woman who walked away from the Passages Women's Program in Billings.
Michelle Peterson left Passages, located at 1001 South 27th Street at around 5 pm Saturday.
The DOC says she is considered dangerous since she faces a 10-year sentence for Felony Escape. She should not be approached.
She arrived at Passages on August 21, after receiving a sentence for criminal possession of dangerous drugs in Lewis and Clark County.
Peterson, 26, is 5 7" tall and weighs 130 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
The DOC asks people to contact law enforcement with any information about her whereabouts.
