Skylynn Rose Bird has been charged with felony assault on a minor and misdemeanor assault after Great Falls police responded to a reported fight near the downtown bus depot.
Charging documents state that shortly before 3 pm on Wednesday, a mother and her 13 year old daughter were standing outside the bus depot when Bird allegedly walked up to them, grabbed the mother by the hair, and began punching her.
The teen then tried to push Bird off of her mother, and Bird reportedly grabbed the teen by the ankle, causing the teen some pain and a limp.
Bird then apparently fled the scene.
Police officers found Bird nearby and their report states that she appeared to be "very intoxicated."
Bird, 32, has several convictions for obstructing a peace officer, disorderly conduct, partner/family member assault, and probation violations.
Prosecutors have requested that bail for Bird be set at $10,000, stating that she is a "significant risk" to the community and her inability to comply with court-ordered conditions in previous incidents.
