Wisconsin group continues to fight Whitefish Mountain Jesus

WHITEFISH - A nonprofit out of Wisconsin filed another motion to overturn the Forest Service's support of the Jesus statue on Big Mountain.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation, which advocates for separation of church and state, filed paperwork on February 15 fighting the federal government's motion in support of a permanent shrine to Jesus in the Flathead National Forest, leased at no cost since the 1950s to the Knights of Columbus.

The brief details how local FFRF members have come into unwanted exposure over the ordeal after some spoke out about their opposition to the statue.

The court case is scheduled for March.
