The Montana Dental Association has launched an initiative to get parents involved in the dental health of their kids; the program is called "Who Is My dentist?"
The initiative is based online through social media to help parents prevent oral health problems in kids before they start.
It also focuses on Montana specific concerns for parents, such as protecting kid's teeth during winter sports, and a list of dentists in each county.
"We think that getting children started early on in a dental office will take a lot of the fear and the strangeness of having to go to a dentist and it they also learn all of the good habits that they should-they're going to see a dentist only for a very few things," said David Hemion, the Executive Director of the Montana Dental Association.
