West end stabbing hospitalizes Billings man

BILLINGS - Billings police are investigating an early morning stabbing at a local convenience store.

Shortly before 6 a.m. officers were called to 3G's Convenience Store on South 24th Street West and Monad Road, on a report of a stabbing.

Once on scene, officers located the stabbing victim; a 31-year-old man from Billings. According to Lieutenant Kevin Iffland, the victim was stabbed in the upper torso. The victim told police the incident occurred in front of 2923 Lampman Drive, near the street. The victim then drove himself to the convenience store.

The man was transported to St. Vincent Healthcare, where he is listed in serious condition.

Detectives are actively working the case, but no suspects have been located.
