BILLINGS - On a Senior-West basketball night, the game itself wasn't the storyline.
Billings Senior put together a makeshift squad filled with JV and sophomore players after announcing 14 varsity players would serve a two game suspension for hazing. Senior's effort was there, but points weren't in a 72-25 loss.
The Broncs surprised fans trailing only 13-11 early in the second quarter. But West outscored Senior 23-2 into halfime, cruising to a 47-point win.
West (7-1,14-1) will host Bozeman Friday at 7:30. Senior drops to 5-4, 8-7 and hits the road Friday for a non-conference meeting at Hardin. The 14 Senior players are also suspended for Friday's game.
Suspensions were announced Thursday after video surfaced showing Senior players putting a shock dog collar on another player during Wednesday's team dinner.
