Newark, NJ - For the first time ever, the top two NBA draft picks have come from the same school.
As expected, Kentucky power forward Anthony Davis was the top pick selected by the New Orleans Hornets. Davis is the first of five Kentucky starters from last season's team expected to be drafted. He also helped lead the Wildcats to the 2011-2012 NCAA Championship.
The Charlotte Bobcats selected Kentucky's Michael Kidd-Gilchrist with the second pick, followed by Florida guard Bradley Beal to Washington, Syracuse guard Dion Waiters to Cleveland and Kansas power forward Thomas Robinson to Sacramento.
Weber State's Damian Lillard became one of the highest Big Sky Conference players ever drafted, going 6th to the Portland Trailblazers. The guard finished second in the nation last season in scoring and free throw shooting.
In 1978, Montana's Michael Ray Richardson was drafted 4th by the New York Knicks.
