BILLINGS - Montana Highway Patrol responded to a one vehicle accident involving a woman and a child Monday evening on Interstate 90.

The crash occurred near Lodge Grass around 6 p.m. As the 24-year-old female driver from Wyoming approached a hill with a slight curve, poor road conditions caused her to lose control.

As she over-corrected, the Honda Accord skidded across the median, causing the vehicle to overturn.

The woman was ejected from the vehicle and suffered head injuries. The extent of her head injuries was not disclosed by Highway Patrol.

A 3-year-old child in a car seat suffered a bump on his head.

Trooper Joe Coughlin said he expected the woman to be transported to a Billings hospital after she is stabilized at Crow Indian Health Services.
