UPDATE: Late night accident sends one to hospital

BILLINGS- One male was sent to the hospital after midnight on Saturday as officers were called to a one vehicle accident around the 3600 block King Ave West.

Sgt. Shawn Mayo of the Billings Police Department, said that the wreck began approximately one block from the site of the crash.

The Billings Police say the driver was traveling eastbound on King Ave West at a high speed when the vehicle crossed the cement median, collided with a power pole, before hitting a small tree and fence and coming to a rest.

The driver had to extracted from the car by the Billings Fire Department before being rushed by ambulance to St. Vincent Healthcare with serious injuries.
