UPDATE -The scene is now clear of any active power lines, and the tree is removed from the westbound lane of King Avenue East.
Northwestern Energy reports there were no reports of power outages in the neighborhood.
Debris remains on the side of the road, but roadways are open in all directions.
BILLINGS- A large, fallen tree has caused a down power line in a residential area in Billings.
The Billings Fire Department responded to the call around 2:30p.m. on King Avenue East and Hallowell Lane on Sunday afternoon.
The Billings Fire Department says they believe the tree had died prior to falling, and that extremely dry yard conditions caused it to uproot and fall from a residence and in to the street.
When the tree fell, it also knocked down power lines running in the area-and as of 3 p.m., the fallen lines remain active.
The Billings Police Department has the westbound lane of King Avenue East blocked off and is currently directing traffic through the westbound lane.
Hallowell Lane is blocked off by the Billings Police Department and Billings Fire Department as well.
However, traffic is being re-directed and traffic has been able to pass without any backup.
So far, no one in the neighborhood has lost power.
