BILLINGS- The Montana Highway Patrol reports the driver of the semi-truck that crashed into two passenger cars on Highway 87 Wednesday night was distracted at the time of the accident.
Three people were killed in the accident and two others were transported to a local hospital.
A female passenger who was transported by ambulance to St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings remains there.
An infant who was taken by help flight to St. Vincent has since been flown to Denver.
Their conditions are unknown at this time.
The Montana Highway Patrol reports neither speed nor alcohol were involved in the crash.

BILLINGS - Three people people are dead after a a semi-truck and two passenger cars collided on Highway 87.
The crash happened Wednesday night shortly after eight between mile marker 15 and 16 which is near the turn off to the Billings Motor Speedway.
The Montana Highway Patrol says a car and jeep were heading north on 87 when the semi-truck crossed the center line hitting the car and then the jeep.
Two people in the jeep were killed as well as the male driver of the white car. A female passenger and young child who were also in the white car were taken by help flight to a local hospital.
Highway 87 was closed for most of the evening, but is now back open.
The crash sparked a small grass fire on the east side of Highway 87 near site of the accident.
The deadly crash is under investigation.
