UPDATE: BOLO Alert Nelson arrested in Helena

HELENA- The man who is a suspect in connection with several burglaries in recent month, Brent Ray Nelson, was arrested in Helena on Tuesday night.

Helena police received a report of a suspicious person in the area of an auto body repair shop and when police responded to the scene, Nelson attempted to flee the fenced area but was apprehended.

Officers found a white Ford pickup truck nearby that had been described in a Crimestoppers alert recently and officers say that the truck was stolen from Sheridan, Wyoming.

Nelson has been charged with misdemeanor possession of dangerous drugs, criminal trespass, and has been arrested on Great Falls felony warrants for probation violation and burglary.

Nelson had been the subject of a state-wide U.S. Marshals "BOLO Alert" last week and an alert was put out on Tuesday by the Missoula County Sheriff's Department saying that Nelson was wanted in connection with a pair of recent Missoula robberies.
