UPDATE: Body of missing Butte man found

UPDATE - 12:55 P.M. TUESDAY:

Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Coroner Gerry Thomas has confirmed that the body of missing Butte man Jim Romenesko has been found.

The body of Romenesko, 66, was found near the Big Hole River along Highway 43, Thomas said.

Romenesko had been missing since Saturday afternoon.

Authorities have not released any other details at this point.

We will update you as we learn more.

BUTTE - A family is asking for help finding a missing Butte man.

Jim Romenesko, 66, has been missing since Saturday afternoon. He is 6 feet tall and walks with a cane. He has grey hair and a moustache and was last seen wearing a grey fedora hat.

According to family members, he was last seen driving a 2001 Pontiac minivan with a "Red Mountain Band" sticker on the bumper.

According to information posted on a Facebook page, he would be unable to walk very far away from his vehicle.

Anyone that sees Jim or the van is asked to contact the Butte Silver Bow Sheriff at 406-497-1120.
