UPDATE: BILLINGS - A Billings man has been arrested in connection to a downtown shooting that sent one man to the hospital last week.

U.S. Marshals Montana Violent Offender Task Force arrested Brogan Raymond, 25, without incident Tuesday afternoon after following his vehicle to the IGA grocery store located on State Avenue.

Raymond was arrested on a felony warrant charging him with assault with a weapon stemming from the April 19th shooting on the 2600 block of 7th Avenue North.

Billings Police officers responded to the scene of the shooting at around 6:15 a.m. April 19th on reports of multiple gunshots and a victim in an alley.

A middle-aged man, whose name has not been released, had suffered a gunshot wound to his left thigh. He was transported to Billings Clinic where he underwent surgery for non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation led police to Raymond who is currently being detained in the Yellowstone County Jail on a $150,000 bond.

BILLINGS- A Billings man is recovering at a local hospital after being shot in a downtown alley Thursday morning.

Now, police are searching for the suspect.

Officers responded to the 2600 block of 7th Avenue North at around 6:15 a.m.

A witness reported hearing multiple gunshots and found the victim in an alley.

Lt. Kevin Iffland said the middle-aged man had suffered a gunshot wound to his left thigh. He was transported to Billings Clinic. Details on his condition are not available at this time.

"We're actively seeking a suspect at this point. We believe we have a pretty good confirmation on who the suspect is, so we're just trying to locate that person and determine from there that person's involvement," Iffland said.

BILLINGS- The Billings Police Department is investigating an early morning downtown shooting that sent a male victim to the hospital.

Officers responded to the 2600 block of 7th Avenue North at around 6:15 a.m. Thursday on a report of a shooting in the alley.

According to Lt. Kevin Iffland, officers arrived and located a male victim who had a gunshot wound to his left thigh.

The victim was transported to Billings Clinic. Details on his condition are not available at this time.

Iffland says officers are following up on suspect information, and the investigation is continuing.


BILLINGS- Billings Police are investigating reports of a downtown shooting that sent a male victim to the hospital.

The call came in at around 6:15 a.m. Thursday across the street from the Albertsons on North 27th Street.

Lt. Mark Cady says police found a male victim lying on the ground who was then transported to the hospital.
