MISSOULA - University of Montana's head football coach Mick Delaney has announced that three players have been suspended from the team.

Meanwhile, a fourth player is off the team indefinitely after being arrested on a felony drug charge.

The latest incident, announced Monday morning, has redshirt freshman linebacker Nick Holt, junior linebacker John Kanongata'a, and junior offensive lineman Kjelby Oiland missing one game, according to a news release.

The suspension comes for violation of team rules and the three will not travel to Ogden, Utah for this Saturday's Big Sky Conference game at Weber State.

"It is an unfortunate situation, but expectations are clear," Delaney said. "I will not go in to particulars about why the three were suspended, but I can say it does not involve law enforcement. I feel it is my responsibility to hold players accountable."

The three suspensions come in light of Sunday's news that Griz football player Trevor Poole, 20, who was arrested for criminal possession of dangerous drugs, which is a felony.

Poole was arrested Saturday night from people who were attending an all night party event called the Disco Bloodbath.

UM Director of Athletics Kent Haslam has confirmed with reporter Phil Buck that Poole has been suspended indefinitely following the arrest, as per the UM Student Code of Conduct.

Poole is being held on $50,000 bail and is due in court Monday.
