TRAVEL WATCH: Snow, ice impact Western Montana roads, passes

MISSOULA - The Montana Department of Transportation reports that U.S. Highway 93 over Lost Trail Pass and Montana Highway 43 over Chief Joseph Pass are now snowcovered and icy.

Meanwhile, U.S. Highway 93 from Conner north to Stevensville is wet with icy bridge decks and U.S. Highway 12 over Lolo Pass is intermittently slushy.

Montana Highway 200 from Bonner to east of Clearwater Junction, and Montana Highway 83 between Clearwater Junction and Seeley Lake have black ice.

Finally. transportation officials say that U.S. Highway 93 North from Arlee to St. Ignatius has intermittent black ice.
