MISSOULA - Slippery road conditions are popping up across the region on Wednesday morning.

The Montana Department of Transportation reports that U.S. Highway 93 at Lost Trail Pass and Montana Highway 43 at Chief Joseph pass are snow-covered and icy.

Meanwhile, motorists traveling U.S. Highway 93 from Lost Trail Pass to Conner are being warned to watch for icy bridge decks.

Conditions are much worse to the west with the Idaho State Police reporting that Interstate 90 westbound is closed between State Line to Post Falls, Idaho due to several accidents.

Idaho authorities say they have been receiving reports of sheets of black ice on the bridges. Motorists are urged to travel with caution and also to expect delays on the I-90 in Idaho.
