STEVENSVILLE- Every year millions get together and root for their favorite teams on Super Bowl Sunday, but we met a Stevensville couple that has a different reason to celebrate.
Gail and Lynn Moshier watch the game every year, but for them, Super Bowl Sunday means more than football.
"I said what are you doing two weeks from Sunday? She says I don't know, what do you got in mind? I said why don't you call up your brother and see if he can marry us? And Super Bowl Sunday was the farthest thing from my mind," said Lynn Moshier.
The Moshiers said they aren't huge football fans, but the coincidence has created a few laughs over the years.
"The joke is that we got married on Super Bowl Sunday so I would be able to remember the date and then they change it on us, so I've been wrong almost every year. But we're still married after 30 years, and that's a real good thing, that's a real good thing," said Lynn Moshier.
They were married during Super Bowl XVI when the San Francisco 49ers edged out the Cincinnati Bengals 26 to 21. Lynn said the wedding went smoothly and only a couple guests were thinking about the score.
