BILLINGS - Some good news for commuters the roundabout at King Avenue West and Shiloh Road is now open. According to Riverside sand and gravel, Shiloh Road as of 7 pm last night is open from Zoo Drive to King Avenue West. Still look for some traffic control devices and workers throughout this area. Now north of there, Shiloh is still closed from King Avenue West to Central Avenue for about 2-3 more weeks.
Beginning this morning at 7 am, the First Avenue underpass in Laurel will have the northbound right hand turn lane closed until 6 pm tonight flaggers will be in place. Beginning tomorrow at 8 am the entire underpass will be closed until 4 pm that afternoon detours will be in place Friday utilizing the 5th Avenue truck route plan on using a different route if possible.
Currently the 2300 block of Grand Ave just east of the intersection of 24th and Grand has single lane traffic both direction through this Friday afternoon also under way is single lane traffic on the 200 block of Wicks Lane through this Monday expect congestion around these lane closures.
Work continues on the intersections of 24th and Broadwater, 24th and Lewis and areas in between commuters can expect single lane traffic, delays and congestion for several blocks in all directions slow down through this dangerous work zone.
The intersection of 13th Street West and Parkhill Drive is closed to all traffic for total reconstruction this project is scheduled to continue through August 19th also in this neighborhood 15th Street West remains closed from Avenue D to Parkhill Drive.
Calhoun Lane remains under heavy construction with local traffic only from about Stone Street to Underpass Avenue also, in this area Stone Street is closed from South Billings Boulevard to Arden Avenue both of these jobs should be finished up by the end of the month. Newman Lane is closed from Murphy Avenue to Phillip Street this project will go through Friday August 6th
Lake Elmo Drive is closed to traffic from Hansen Lane to Josephine Drive Hansen and Hilltop do remain open for east and west traffic. This project will continue along Lake Elmo to Wicks throughout this summer and into the fall.
Utility work is slowly getting under way at the intersection of South Frontage Road and Zoo Drive work includes traffic signals installation along with curb, gutter and sidewalks this project is scheduled to last through August.
