With Election Day a week away, U.S. Senator Jon Tester is encouraging Montana residents to vote. Tester, who is running for re-election this year, gathered at his Billings campaign headquarters along with Montana's Lieutenant Governor John Bohlinger and President of the Senior Citizens Association, Betty Beverly. Bohlinger is endorsing Tester, calling him a "moderate democrat that supports Montana values."

During his speech today, Tester spoke about the importance of social security and Medicare.

"I have always stood behind medicare and social security and I will because it's important," Senator Tester said. "My folks used it, my brother is on Medicare now. He would not have the healthcare he's got right now if it wasn't for Medicare."

He believes it's important to protect the two programs for today's senior citizens and future generations.
